All the thread you need to stitch the 365 sashiko sampler squares from my new book, Sashiko 365, published on 8th November 2022.
This is the same thread that I used in the book, but as it is a fine thread, it was used doubled. If you prefer to stitch with a single sashiko thread, there is a medium 6-ply thread pack too.
Fine 4-ply mercerised sashiko thread - 170m skeins of shades #1 white x 3, #23 plum blossom pink x 2, #14 kerria rose (referred to as 'peach' in the book) x 1,#12 light green x 1, #26 light blue x 1; plus 40m cards of shades #203 yellow x 3 and #210 lilac purple x 3, all Daruma brand by Yokota - view the full 170m range here and the 40m range here.
Bought individually, these threads would cost £55 - pack price has 5% off, so you pay just £52.25.
I also used a very small amount of a shaded sashiko thread to stitch some details on the hitomezashi blocks in the first few pages of the pattern directory - Lecien Cosmo Hidamari #89-304. I have not included it in the thread pack because some new multi coloured sashiko threads have been introduced since I stitched the samples, so now there is far more choice! It is optional whether you decide to use any multicoloured threads at all, so if you want to use a multicoloured thread too, please select the one you like separately here.
Sashiko needles - may be used with most of the sashiko needles I sell. I used a pack of 8 Clover needles to stitch my samples. Olympus or Lecien sashiko needles are also perfect.

Sashiko 365 thread pack - 4-ply fine
Sashiko threads skeins have to be opened out before use. Slide of the skein band first. You will find all the thread is tied together at one point. Cut through the skein at the knot, so all the threads are cut (you'll find these are the ideal length for stitching doubled). Push all the thread through the skein band, and then plait the thread loosely. Pull out each thread as you need it from the loop end of the plait, not the 'fringed' end. This saves time trying to wind the thread into a ball, keeps it tidy and you know the thread shade number if you need to re order.
