William Morris and Morris & Co. fabric designs are timeless - more popular now than when they were first released! 'Chrsysanthemum tonal' in 'Olive' (first photo) is a softly coloured version of the famous 'Chrysanthemum' pattern, and would coordinate with many other fabrics. Other photos show some more of the William Morris fabrics I have in stock. The scale of these FreeSpirit versions of these classic patterns is much smaller than when they were first released over 100 years ago, scaled down for patchwork, so they have a much more delicate effect.

This listing is for a 1.3m bolt end piece.

Printed on patchwork weight cotton, these fabrics make an ideal coordinate for my sashiko panels, and the colours can be matched from my extensive range of sashiko threads. Free Spirit fabrics are printed on a 68 count cotton rather than the 60 count used for many other brands, meaning they are slightly finer than many patchwork fabrics and are also suitable for making clothing.

At the moment William Morris designs are hugely popular in Japan - my friends at Yuza Sashiko Guild have been interpreting some of these patterns in sashiko!
