These beautiful woodland themed fabrics designed by Sanderson for FreeSpirit are full of subtle colour and quirky detail.

'Dahlia and Rosehip' is lush multicoloured floral design against a deep teal blue background - a typical Sanderson design. It is a smaller version of the same print on a deep brick red ground, so you could use the two patterns together to great effect.

The other photos show the rest of the fabrics I have managed to get from this fabulous collection*. Sanderson's designs for FreeSpirit feature a British woodland animals, flowers and foliage, in sky blues, teals, earth tones, brick red, russet, ochre and greens. Known internationally for their lush florals, Sanderson bring a contemporary touch to their designs. The company holds the Royal Warrant and is synonymous with top quality.

Quantities are limited, and I can't reorder this range. *I missed the advance ordering for this, otherwise I'd have had all the prints!

Printed on patchwork weight cotton, this fabric makes an ideal coordinate for my sashiko panels, and the colours can be matched from my extensive range of sashiko threads. Free Spirit fabrics are printed on a 68 count cotton rather than the 60 count used for many other brands, meaning they are slightly finer than many patchwork fabrics and are also suitable for making clothing.
