A fabulous new Japanese-themed collection from In The Beginning fabrics, which I just had to get! I have been promising some fat quarter bundles for a while, but it does take time to cut and pack them, so sorry for the wait.
Jason Yenter's 'Oriental Gardens' collection is full of digitally printed jewel-like colours, so you get all the depth and variation of colour like a batik, but on a fabric base that isn't too tightly woven for hand quilting. Here are four gorgeous purple and turquoise designs (first photo) - there are green, russet, purple and blue colourways in the collection (there are too many to show here!). Photos 2 - 5 show each fabric separately. NB - these are not metallic prints. Beautiful for patchwork, or to go with a sashiko panel.
The whole range works so well together, I had difficult choices to make when I packed these bundles, as fabrics from this one could go very well with fabrics from the green or blue bundles (last two photos). Why not combine them all?
I preordered this range, so we wouldn't miss out! The saturated colours coordinate very well with other Jason Yenter fabrics, and I want to combine these prints with some of the other In The Beginning ranges.
4 x fat quarters, each approx. 55 x 50cm (21 1/2 x 19 1/2in)
