A great way to get a big selection of colours for a low price, these 'Garden Party' themed thread cards have 10 x 2m lengths of 6-strand embroidery thread, all colour co-ordinated for your stitching projects. These colour collections are all inspired by nature. Ideal for the pretty floral embroidery known as 'French Embroidery' in Japan, as epitomised by the designs of Alice Makabe, famous for her botanical inspired embroideries (the first English translation of her 'Botanical Embroidery' book will be published on 31st August 2021 - there's no English language page preview, but you can see page from the original Japanese edition here, and her other books here). Or use them for any project you like.

Split and use one, two, three or more strands as required.  It is mercerised, with a subtle sheen. Of course, 6-strand embroidery thread is perfect for cross stitch too.

While this is not a sashiko or kogin thread and should not be expected to be as hardwearing, it can be used to extend your colour range for items that won't get very hard use. It would look amazing used for very colour co-ordinated kogin, on 20 count fabric. Used with all 6 strands, it makes a beautiful choice for the threaded parts of kurugizashi ('go through' or threaded sashiko) designs, if you want to vary the threading colours with subtle shading.
