My third collection of practical designs for bags and purses was such fun to do. I take you through a collection of 14 designs - a large and small matching duo for every day of the week - with each complimentary pair featuring easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions that make the bags quick and fun to create. Every bag pair is accompanied by a variation that shows off the details in a completely different color scheme, essentially giving you 14 additional inspirational designs.

Let's face it, the book was really just an excuse to buy some more fat quarters in yummy coordinated bundles! I used all styles of fabrics, from traditional florals to Japanese gold prints, funky modern designs, cool taupes, African prints and classic sparkly celestial stars.

As with many of the bags from my previous books, these have been out and about quite a lot. The large work bag from the front cover will be recognisable to anyone who has been to one of my workshops in since the book was first published in 2009, along with the little workbag, because I use them as my everyday workshop bags. The backpacks have both been throughly tested too, with trips to Denmark, Germany and Australia, among other places! - the 'travel' themed on is shown in the second photo at Manchester Airport departure lounge (along with the satchel bag from '21 Terrific Patchwork Bags'). There's a small laptop briefcase that was made to fit my smaller laptop, and is still in use. Other photos show many of the bags from when we launched the books at Quilts in the Garden in 2009, the last show held at Trentham Gardens.
