This cotton/linen blend is soft fabric with a similar thread count to the popular Kofu Tsumugi cotton, and has a handwoven look. It would be lovely for sashiko and boro, and should dye nicely too (always wash fabric before attempting to dye it). I have been looking for a lighter coloured fabric to complement the Kofu Tsumugi cottons for a while, as that range is woven with a black weft so it doesn't have any really pale colours, so I was very pleased to find this. It would mix with the Kofu Tsumugi very well, to play the role of a light neutral for patchwork, sashiko, boro, quilting, dressmaking, or any other use you can think of for a lighter weight fabric with a bit of character!
This listing is for the ivory white or cream shade - it has been hard to describe it, because against some other fabrics it looks ivory, and against others it looks more of a creamy shade! The natural version, unbleached, is also available.
