Rugged nature inspired these watercolour-like designs by Deborah Edwards and Melanie Samra for Northcott. This quilters' wideback shows a stunning waterfall and forest scene (first photo), and is a whopping 108in (274cm) wide, with the design running parallel to the selvage (i.e. across the width of the fabric). Yes, you could make floor length curtains from this! Although inspired by North American landscapes, it reminds me very much of the landscape of Yamagata Prefecture, Japan. The digitally printed patchwork fabrics really show off the designers' distinctive watercolour style beautifully, and would look superb in a patchwork with the other fabrics and panels in the collection (photos 2 - 9), to coordinate with sashiko, or as a blender for other projects. Digitally printed.
Wide back is 108in (274cm) wide and is sold in 1.5m increments. The full repeat of the pattern is 1.5m, so this means you get the full design on one panel.
