Shimmering silver metallic adds a sparkle to this traditional Japanese sayagata (saya brocade) design (first photo) on dark blue. It is quite a small scale print, ideal as a patchwork or sashiko coordinate - the image makes it look much larger! Silver metallic adds a sophisticated shimmer to these designs - other coordinating fabrics are shown in photos 2 - 5. Minna means 'everyone' in Japanese, and these are universally used patterns in Japan.
 
I used a lot of these kinds of prints in my books 'Japanese Quilt Blocks to Mix and Match' and 'Japanese Quilt Inspirations', and they aren't so easy to find at the moment, so I'm always pleased when I spot another design I love.
