'Indigo Blooming' by Debbie Maddy for Moda is a newly arrived collection inspired by antique Japanese katazome (stencil dyed) and kasuri (double ikat) fabrics, with a few Edo komon (small scale dotted stencilled designs, originating in Tokyo) thrown into the mix. They are basically reproductions of these antique fabrics, and as such make an excellent substitute for the originals in your work (the old fabrics are increasingly difficult to come by, even in Japan, but also increasingly expensive). The first photo shows this smaller scale Edo komon design of twisted asanoha (hemp leaves) in midnight (dark indigo blue) on sand (ivory cream), and the others give you a look at some of the fabrics included (I can't fit the whole collection onto one page, so you'll have to look at the other individual listings to see all of them).
These collection will be a great addition for your patchwork, dressmaking, boro, home dec and other projects. They also coordinate very well with Debbie's previous Japanese inspired Moda ranges. Patchwork weight cotton.
I also have all these fabrics available by the half metre (as of creating this listing on 22nd July 2024). Also available as Layer Cakes, and other pre cuts.
100% cotton
43/44in wide fabric.
NB - sold by the half metre, so please order '1' for 0.5m, '2' for 1m etc.
