In her debut collection for Windham Fabrics, 'Uppercase', Janine Vangool was inspired by the spines from many issues of her 'Uppercase' (I don't read a lot of magazines, so must have missed seeing these!) Each issue of the magazine has featured a unique spine pattern and she used these as the basis for the patterns. I just love dots, and can always find a use for them in a patchwork project.
I Googled the mag, and found that Janine had been interviewed about her fabric range for a friend's blog, so the second photo shows you how these patterns looked as graphics. Cool. It's exactly the kind of design detail that is such fun to do.
