Unless you are stitching boro style textiles with thick sashiko thread, you will find the smaller, thinner sashiko needles will be best for stitching and will go through the fabric layers more easily. Traditional thread clippers make trimming thread ends a breeze. If you need to give your needle a bit of a push, a leather palm thimble is easy to use.
